GabeeAI — Acceptable Use Policy

GabeeAI is a powerful tool for capturing and understanding conversations. With that comes responsibility. This policy is part of our Terms of Service. By using GabeeAI you agree to it.

You are responsible for lawful, consented use

Recording or transcribing a conversation is regulated by law, and the rules vary by location:

• Some places allow recording with one party's consent (you). Many require all parties to consent. In the UK and EU you generally must have a lawful basis and must clearly inform participants that recording/transcription (including AI-assisted notes) is taking place.
• You are responsible for knowing and following the law that applies to you and the other participants — including when participants are in different places, where the strictest rule can apply.

Before you record or transcribe, you must obtain any consent and give any notice the law requires. GabeeAI helps you do the right thing (e.g., reminders and a suggested disclosure), but the obligation is yours.

A suggested disclosure you can use

"Before we start — I'm using a private, on-device AI assistant to take notes and a transcript of this call. Nothing leaves my machine. Are you OK with that?"

Capturing the other party's agreement in the transcript is good practice.

Prohibited uses

You must not use GabeeAI to:

• record, transcribe, or monitor anyone without the consent or notice required by law;
• conduct covert surveillance, stalking, harassment, or to intimidate or harm any person;
• capture communications you are not lawfully entitled to access, or legally privileged, classified, or otherwise protected information unlawfully;
• process special-category / sensitive personal data without a proper lawful basis;
• break any law, regulation, contract, or third-party right;
• disguise the app or otherwise deceive people about its presence or purpose in order to capture them without consent.

Consequences

Breach may result in suspension or termination of your licence, and you are responsible for any resulting claims (see the indemnity in our Terms). We are a software provider; we do not monitor your use, which makes your own compliance essential.
